Global Day of Prayer for the Media


 “In a world inundated with information, the media has the responsibility to discern truth from falsehood, to shed light on injustice, and to inspire hope. Its potential for positive change is boundless.” - Desmond Tutu 


When I was given this global prayer assignment for the Media, I casually said, YES! Cos I am always open to anything godly and inspiring but as the day got nearer, it’s created a longing in my heart… on Why we need to pray for the MEDIA globally at such a time as this. 

As seen from the words of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, it is more important to pray for the media industry now than ever and I am glad to be doing this kingdom work this Sunday, with some amazing leaders in media and faith walk… people who leaves no stone unturned to address the social issues we face as Christians in the marketplace. These people have consistently positioned themselves as Media powerhouses and spiritual giants and I am so grateful for all the good works they are doing in their respective fields and countries!


The #gobaldayofprayerformedia which is a global online prayer chain powered by the four establishing organisations: Christian Media & Arts Australia, Christians in Media UK, Christian Broadcasting Association New Zealand, Hollywood Prayer Network and Mastermedia International is organized to publicly unite and Pray for people behind the Media and entertainment profession such as Radio & Tv stations, Christian storytellers, Actors, photographers and journalists on the frontline etc. 


We invite you to join us in these strategic 24 hours online prayer marathon tagged: the GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER, where we have the privilege to host two Radio stations @impactradio and CCFM to pray for the Media industry in South Africa. Also, the amazing @sharondedeogunleye @globalenergeticej Ejiro Osakede and @theladymayowa will be representing and praying for Media and entertainment in the MiddleEast covering Dubai, and Turkey while my Pastor @jcabarra @drmacfoy @titothewriter @thevictoroba @solomonbuchi @damibusari @benedictaolagunju , and @woliarole etc will be representing and Praying for AFRICA with us.
